Why I chose to switch to a Windows-based Phone – Part 2

Naturally, I release Part 2 of my discussion on why I chose to switch to a Windows Phone due to the recent news that Microsoft has purchased Nokia’s cell phone division for a whopping $7.2 billion. Will you please listen to me people! Microsoft is one of the most brilliant companies to have ever existed – as much as we all want to deny it based on the days and nights we have banged our head on our keyboards and/or ripped the monitor off our desks. Are they brilliant because of innovation? No. They are brilliant because of their ability to observe. I learned in business school that the first or second to market is not always the best. The third to market with a product has the ability to make ones innovation in to something better.

Think about it – Microsoft has developed the foundation for most businesses to be productive on a daily basis, using our Desktop and Laptop computers. However, we are a mobile world now. So, as Blackberry, Apple, and Google has taken the great and furious leap in to the world market to promote their mobile technologies, Microsoft has quietly dipped their toes in to water – until now. Let the games begin. I predict Microsoft surpasses Apple in the Mobile Device market share by the end of 2015.
